Johns Hopkins physical therapists collaborate with Dr. Michael Sheps

Dr. Michael Sheps is excited to announce that he was invited to present the latest trends and technology in photonic stimulation using Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) at John Hopkins Rehabilitation Therapy Services Clinic in Maryland. Recognized as being a content expert in clinical application of LLLT, his knowledge and clinical expertise has helped advance the practice of others.
 

ABJC Athletes Go For the GOLD!

It’s raining GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE for US Athletes, topping the charts with 25 medals (12 gold, 8 silver, 5 bronze) at the 13th IAAF 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea.
 
A very special congratulations goes out to our All Back & Joint Care US Athletes, Carmelita Jeter, Bianca Knight, Jason Richardson, Lashinda Demus, and Jesse Williams. Additionally we salute our international athletes, Felix Sanchez (Dominican Republic) , and Jaysuma Saidy Ndure (Norway).
 
Jeter came home with one silver and two gold medals, sharing a gold with Knight for their valiant team effort in the women’s 4 × 100 meter relay. This win set a season world record at a speed of 41.56. Click here to listen to Carmelita Jeter’s Adidas interview after the race.
 
Gold medals were also awarded to Richardson (110 meters hurdles/ 13.16), Williams (High jump/ 2.35) and Demus, who set both a season world record and a national record for the 400 meter hurdles at 52.47.
 
Sanchez was 7/100ths of a second away from the bronze, landing him a very close 4th place in the men’s 400m hurdles (48.87).
 
Jaysuma Saidy Ndure also came close to the bronze, placing 4th in the Men’s 200 meters (19.95)

Surf’s Up with BIOLASE Diolase 10™ laser!

Suffering from a capsular tear in his left ankle, World Champion Surfer, Tanner Gudauskas, was referred to ABJC by his Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Sheps ordered a short protocol of BIOLASE Diolase 10™ laser treatments. After only 6 treatments, he resumed full normal activity, with NO residual pain. Gudauskas says, “I would love to thank Dr. Sheps for the care of the laser. My ankle feels incredibly better after each session.”

Mattie Larson at the 2010 World Gymnastics

Dr. Michael Sheps, Co-Founder and Clinic Director of All Back and Joint Care Group in Los Angeles, will be with the United States Gymnastics Team during October to 2010 Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam, Holland. He will be caring for long time patient and acclaimed athlete Mattie Larson, favored to win the gold. Treatments will include chiropractic as well as Diolase 10™ laser therapy, which he developed in partnership with BIOLASE Technology.
